Job Description
- A full time Senior Ruby on Rails developer in Cairo to join our tech team and help us build upcoming and very exciting projects including review systems and an e-commerce platform.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
- Collaborate with all team members to architect, conceptualize, and ship new features regularly.
- Build and maintain API services.
- Improve the performance and code quality.
- Recruit and mentor team members.
- Contribute to product strategy sessions.
- Continuously research to learn and adapt to the latest technologies and best practices while promoting it across the company.
Job Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Database experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD cycle.
- A knack for performance optimization.
- Familiarity with HTTP caching.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience with client-side apps is a bonus.
- Familiarity with JSONAPI-spec is a bonus.
- Experience with server-side CSS preprocessors such as Sass.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful principles and best practices.
- A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code.
