Job Description
- Reviews design to ensure proper design and compliance with the MUTCD, AASHTO and other accepted standards.
- Review traffic impact studies of a proposed development to determine the effect on the traffic system.
- Studying accident 'black spots' to design road safety improvements
- Perform traffic analysis utilizing HCS, aaSIDRA, TRANSYT-7F, CORSIM, and Trafficware SYNCHRO.
- Perform geometric design to improve roads intersections traffic flow based on the traffic analysis results.
- Supervising the development of the engineering drawing plans, sections, profiles and details in compliance with CAD standards and protocols.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
- At least 10 years experience in conducting roads and intersections design projects such as signal timing, signing, geometric design, construction traffic control, traffic safety studies, operations analysis, etc. is required.
- Fully conversant with various traffic analysis software such as (Synchro/SimTraffic, aaSIDRA, TRANSYT-7F, HCS) is required.
- Fully conversant with AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD
- Familiar with AutoCAD and other drawing software
- Good technical writing, computer and communications skills.
- Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment
