Role Summary:
The Clinical Education Specialist (CES) will deliver clinical and operational expertise by providing quality education and training support to customers within Molecular Imaging (MI) systems as well as related product portfolio and upgrades.
The CES will further facilitate evidence-based practice and support the customer experience and commercial teams by providing effective outcome-based education and training solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop clinical skills and show high competency levels within the MI modality.
- Correlates theoretical knowledge with clinical and product knowledge to provide clinicians with the skills required to produce optimal performance for their equipment.
- Conduct high quality Clinical Education training at customer sites, ensure customer's safe and effective use of GE equipment, maximizing image quality and productivity.
- Apply all procedures requested by Clinical Education management (Coordination process, Visit preparation, Field Visit Report, Debrief, Survey etc.).
- Pro-actively escalate customer issues and needs to the relevant level in the organization.
- Provide in-depth presentation and demonstration to the user for specific Products & Services.
- Develop content and deliver Classroom courses at the regional Customer Training facility.
- Participate in Clinical Education initiatives such as Doctor to Doctor and Immersion classes.
- When requested, provide support for congresses, road shows, exhibitions, and user meetings.
- When requested, provide on-line application (OLA) support as a backup to the regular OLA team.
- Comply with the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain an effective Quality System and comply with the requirements of the Quality Policy and documented processes.
- Delivering Continuous Clinical Education for North East Africa and support the region (AFRICA) as and when required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Radiography degree and/or post graduate certificates in Radiography or equivalent
- Willingness to travel - 70 to 80% travel time (annual average)
- Fluent in Arabic, English, and/or French
- Practical experience of 5 years in Molecular Imaging (NM, PET)
- Possess teaching skills or experience (Ability to teach)
- Strong computer skills
- Presentation skills
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to demonstrate commercial skills
- Practical experience of MI in a clinical environment
- Experience in conducting research in MI or other imaging modality (NM, PET,…)
- Knowledge of GE's or competitor's MI products
- Fluent in French and/or Arabic will be a strong asset
