Job Description
- To perform system administration and development, including system design; development; testing; and implementation
- Regular system maintenance to ensure the required systems are available for users at University of Canada in Egypt.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related subject.
- Relevant system administration certifications like SCSA, SCNA, CSA, MCSE and MCSA is preferable.
Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years System Administration experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector
Job-Specific Skills:
- Experience in system administration and security principles and best practices.
- Experience in MS Windows Servers, MS Active Directory, MS Office 365, MS Exchange 365, MS System Center, DFS, Group Policy, etc.
- Experience in visualization technologies VMWare and MS Hyper-V.
- Knowledge in Storage infrastructure and data protection.
- NLB, High Availability, and clustering concepts.
- Database structure and concepts.
- Knowledge in Linux environments.
- Knowledge in LAN/WAN protocols and network infrastructure.
- Previous experience in Higher Education is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work after hours and/or weekends and on-call, as specified by supervisor.
- Logical and systematic problem-solving ability.
- Communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
