Job Description
- Has responsibilities to manage from concept, to design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life.
- Delivers the operating plan: achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all the channels/categories of business and/or key customers.
- Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation.
To assist/support
- The existing sales team to achieve their pre-set annual sales target.
- The development team to meet customer inquiry (existing or new product) and demand with in realistic time target (start to end).
- Sales manager to identify the strength and weaknesses of existing clients.
- Sales manager to negotiate and finalize the selling price of every selling item under company business entity, having them approved by DGM.
To develop
- Clear accountability between field sales personnel and the back office (CSD).
- Direct management contact with every customer and to insure paying them a visit to each of them as a routine, irrespective of volume of business but according to the overall potential.
To guide & follow-up
- The annual sales target for each sales person as per the sales target agreed.
- The sales development with each sales person on a routine basis.
- With sales team to generate a clear quarterly forecast plan based on market (customer) commitment.
- To collect market price insight for each customer and product sector (price bench-marking).
- To identify bottle-neck / obstacles / challenges and opportunities of each deal or proposal and recommend clear way-forward in order to minimize time losses.
- To insure closing all customer complaint, customer return related issues to its earliest possible time by recording / reporting.
- Leading related departments (quality. Production, accounts) through an organized & timed agenda in order to reach in to a plausible conclusion safeguarding the company business interest.
- Custodian and answerable for every developmental project opened up under his authority and reporting line.
- Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
- Obtains product market share by working with sales manager to develop product sales strategies.
- Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field sales executives and evaluating sales call results.
- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
- Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
- Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains product management staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Doing any other work assigned to him by the company management not inconsistent with company
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of sales exp. preferred in printing and packaging.
