Job Description

This position is with Schaduf's Urban Farming team. It is focused on selling Schaduf crops (lettuce, spinach, kale, etc) that are grown in low-income areas on roofs.

We are looking for results-driven business development & sales representative to actively seek out and engage potential customers.

The first couple of months will be focused on establishing agreements with retail chains, restaurants, and hotels for our crops.

In parallel, the BD Specialist is expected to build a database of all potential customers and start establishing relationships to enable quick mobilization with customers.

He/ she will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team from Farming, Marketing, and R&D to continuously bring new products to the market.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to Supermarkets and Restaurant leads through cold calling & setting up meetings with decision makers
  • Follow up on all orders to ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Follow up with customers and solve any problems they have
  • Keep track of best practices and market trends

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales (preferably in Food business)
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual that can work in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to move around and meet with many potential customers
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • Negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
