Job Description

We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized social media specialist to join our growing team.

In this position, you will interact with targeted virtual communities and network users to promote our services and provide customer care services to new audiences and will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy.

You must be able to create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms as well as act quickly and gracefully to resolve any customer complaints or criticisms posted on social media.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
  • Create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Track and analyze analytics report to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing and/or social media.
  • Fluency in English and French is a plus.
  • Excellent copywriting, presentation and communication skills with good multitasking and organizational ability.
  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.
  • Proven experience in copywriting and community management in English. (previously handled account URLs need to be provided and your portfolio).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs.
