Job Description
Currently we have the opportunity for a dynamic Statutory Accounting and Finance Manager to join our Egyptian team in Cairo.
As a Statutory Accounting and Finance Manage you will have the opportunity to manage and deliver a streamlined Statutory and Tax reporting process in Egypt; driving transition of work, executing improvement and simplification projects, enabling finance knowledge sharing with full compliance to the Statutory and Tax requirement.
You will report to the Accounting Operations Market Lead Africa – HealthTech
You are responsible for:

Managing Statutory and Periodic Internal Audits.

Staying updated with changes on statutory & tax rules and regulations (close cooperation with PWC experts) to be able to assess business impact

Translating IFRS/GAAP to Local GAAP via statutory adjustments

Providing accurate, completed & timely data for statutory reporting, fiscal reporting and other requirements

First contact point for external auditors.

Managing on local level Operating Model for Statutory Reporting

Contact point for PWC and local authorities

Fulfilling requests from regulatory & tax authorities- provide support during fiscal audits.

Coordinating with Accounting Operation and Tax Group on any other statutory accounting related activities

Driving and overseeing improvement projects related to accounting processes, including outsourcing of statutory accounting activities. Managing the quality of the service of the outsourcing partner.

Constantly looking for improvement opportunities in the area of direct responsibility, but not limited to and driving implementation (compliance, quality and process efficiency).
Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to be sparring partner for internal and external specialists (external accountants, legal, treasury)
- Solid experienced with local tax and statutory requirements (must)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to multi task
- Process/system improvements
- Timeliness and accuracy of core deliverables (local GAAP and tax reporting process; tax authorities requests).
- Advanced technical skills in Excel and ERP (SAP preferred)
- B.Com, Hons and Certified Accountant with completed articles
- Preferably, having audit or consulting experience from “Big 4” firms.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting areas.
- Local ESAA qualification/ ACCA a plus
- Strong communication skills in (inter)national matrix setting – very good level of English in addition to local language
