Job Description
We need a talented GIS Web Developer that excellent in using the latest open source web mapping libraries 2D/3D like (Openlayers, Leaflet, Mapbox, Cesium, ...) to develop web mapping projects to clients.
The right candidate will need to demonstrate a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Undertake hands-on development of web mapping solutions using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, AJAX, Jquery, AngularJS, Bootstrap etc, Spatial Database technologies including Oracle spatial, SQL Server spatial and Postgresql.
- Using open source gis editors like (QGIS) for data preparation.
- Perform and deliver allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by the project manager and/or team leader
- Provision of technical solution input in support of our software’s solutions offerings with a focus on the commercial sector, including server and enterprise technologies, multi-tier geospatial and data quality solutions.
- Deliver professional consulting services based upon set software tools for small projects to ensure continuity from sales to customer delivery.
- Develop high-level business requirements documentation, specifications and proposals through requirements analysis to facilitate scoping of appropriate technical solutions to meet client business requirements.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a GIS Web Developer.
- Proven working experience in GIS web programming.
- Solid experience with JavaScript and one or more JS frameworks.
- Solid experience with open source GIS Servers like (Geoserver)
- Be up to speed with the latest geospatial technologies.
- Be able to work effectively both individually, and as part of a team
- Be organised and be able to think creatively
- Have excellent communication in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clients
- Accurate work ethic and strong problem solving skills
- Preferred living in #Ismailia, Egypt.
- Residents outside #Ismailia will have accommodation
- Demonstrable experience developing solutions using any of the following technologies is required:
- Open source GIS web libraries (OpenLayers) or any JS framework
- Open source GIS web servers (GeoServer)
- ESRI ArcGIS Server and Desktop products
- FME Desktop
- PostgreSQL / PostGIS
- OGC standards
