Job Description

Exciting career opportunity in the Manufacturing function, in the capacity of Production Planning & Logistics Lead, Egypt; based in Cairo 10th of Ramadan – Biscuits Plant, Egypt
The main purpose of the role is to develop and manage the necessary plans to ensure the product availability (Local-Export) with the required quantities on the required time, meeting the quality standards as per the sales demand forecast by managing the Material planning - Production planning &purchasing Replenishment, FG stock level replenishment and Direct Material to maintain the philosophy of 100% Customer satisfaction, While achieving the inventory levels targets.
Drive continuous improvement to create a living culture that challenges the behaviors of all plant employees in order to deliver conversion productivity targets and support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality, service). Main Responsibilities:

  • For the successful day –to –day operation of all Logistics and Materials for the facility. Provide leadership Responsible for all Plant Warehouse department performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, Morale)
  • Maintain raw ingredients and packaging materials inventory within established boundaries
  • Ensure Materials Management functions are working under best possible practices and environment regarding all existing internal and external policies and procedures in respect to Mondelez’ s role within the community.
  • Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
  • Liaise with Procurement function to ensure adequate materials and ingredients are available to meet production plan, while ensuring the total stock of such items remain within agreed tolerances.
  • Responsible for Repack department performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, Morale)
  • Plan re-pack activities in line with business requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day re-pack operations.
  • Responsible for Distribution Center Department performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, Morale)
  • Ensure efficient in- and outbound operations.
  • Collaborate with CS&L in increasing the number of direct shipments.
  • Manage and develop the MASTER Production Scheduling process to meet customer requirements
  • Responsible for identifying and coordinating employee job classification training
  • Responsible for Schedule Soft labor scheduling software system.
  • Initiate, maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives, and ensure all members of Materials Management, DC, and Warehouse & Repack teams are aware and aligned of safety culture and guideline.
  • Ensure that adequate control processes in place to ensure data accuracy in planning systems including, but not limited to master recipes, Bill of Materials, material transfers, cycle counts, resource allocation, run rates etc.
  • Participate in budgeting process, own material and workforce planning streams.
  • Elaborate and update an annual conversion and yield roadmap for the Materials organization and identify specific projects to satisfy cost reduction a per productivity strategies.
  • Analyze workforce requirements to ensure Plant operating in most efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain effective cost control programs, which support Plant and corporate goals.
  • Execute Mondelez Category growth initiatives through successful new product launches.
  • Facilitates scheduling of all Plant production commercialization, maintenance and engineering activities related to production schedules.
  • Supply Chain plant lead with BU’s Product Supply, Customer Service, Logistics, Procurement
  • Actively lead the implementation of IL6S. Encourage and promote operating in an Integrated Lean Six Sigma environment.
  • Ensure a 0 loss 0 Waste mindset throughout the facility.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Technical Field.
  • At least 5 years of fundamental knowledge and experience within a supply chain environment.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience managing teams in a managerial capacity. Ability to blend people into teams; creates strong morale and spirit in his/her work; defines success in terms of the whole team.
  • Effective at leading and managing change.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP and MRP.
  • Trust and empowers team, while holding team and others accountable.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
