Job Description
We're looking for a Backend Developer to work with us on our next generation of peer-to-peer shipping & travel platform.
What we expect from you:
- Design a new version of the existing API with help from team members
- Deliver results reliably and without surprises
- Communicate well with the other team members, including the mobile app developers
- See the big picture and able to comprehend the backend system as a whole
- Write clean maintainable code, making future development a breeze and not a burden
- Write unit tests to make sure nothing breaks as the system evolves quickly
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a hands-on Backend engineer.
- Proficiency (js/NodeJS)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and its standards
- Good understanding of JWT, its pros, and cons
- Good knowledge in Docker is a must.
- Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge in PostgreSQL or MySQL and query performance characteristics
- Knowledge in asynchronous task runners like Celery
- Experience in Micro service Architecture and their communication protocols
- Experience in large-scale Development, Testing, and Deployment
- You know how to keep the code clean and maintainable
- You love building well-designed Scale-able Systems
- Good to know Elastic Search and the Elastic Stack
