Job Description
- Possess understanding of aesthetics and technical while designing signs.
- Discuss the requirement of the clients with the Sales Team to establish the design brief,including the concept, presentation and production criteria.
- Producing detailed engineering drawings and specifications using dedicated software (Auto-CAD/ Solid-works) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and costs.
- Making samples or working models using computerized prototyping equipment and testing the design concept by computerized modelling.
- Researching materials, processes or market requirements for the product range offered by the company.
- Liaising with Production Engineers, Project Engineers and other departments, including Sales, to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs and commercial issues.
- Visiting clients' site and evaluating the feasibility of the project.
- Present cost effective, fit for purpose design proposals to senior management or clients when bidding for projects.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are always met .
- Protects organization's reputation by keeping information confidential.
- In the absence of colleagues, assume their responsibilities in a committed manner to ensure that no work hampered.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
- 8+ years’ work experience, preferably in signage/fabrication Industry/Advertising Industry.
