Job Description

Clouds Software Solutions is hiring 3D Modeler/Rigger/Animator for a full-time job in the company's branch located in Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, testers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Set realistic time estimations and completing them on time.
  • Set-up characters and props with skeletons and deformers.
  • Provide technical direction on models, so that by the time a model reaches the rigging phase it meets the technical requirements needed for the highest level of rigging and skinning.
  • Ability to create rigs that allow for a full range of movement, with a logical, easy to use, and well thought out control structure.
  • Creating high-quality rigging and skinning for CG models.
  • Continually keep updated with the latest changes and technologies in industry’s standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in the industry.
  • Fluent English language skills (Speaking, writing, and reading).

Skills & Experience:

  • A strong understanding of animation and modeling workflows.
  • A strong understanding of human and animal form and bio mechanics.
  • Excellent knowledge of Maya, with a strong understanding of the dependency graph, utility nodes, and the use of expressions.
  • A working knowledge of MEL is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Python is a must.
  • Knowledge of the C API is not required but is a distinct advantage.
  • A general understanding of the principles of animation.
  • Must be able to think like an animator when considering how rigs will move.
  • Knowledge of character kinematics, deformations, and topology.
  • Knowledge of character pipeline and workflow techniques.
  • Knowledge of generating cloth/hair rigs and create art directed shot simulations.
  • In-depth experience with creating and maintaining high-end character rigs
  • A strong foundation in character animation and anatomy.
  • Experience with facial anatomy and rigging is an advance.
