Job Description

  • Embody the company's passion and commitment to building and sustaining close client relationships
  • Inspire, build, and guide the creative communications team that include designers, copywriters, and mar-tech specialists

  • Participating in creative brainstorming sessions for setting and maintaining high standards for finished creative work
  • Develop strategies for creative campaigns and individual projects to meet business objectives
  • Manage multiple projects, on time and within budget, from concept to completion
  • Work seamlessly with account team members and the extended client service team to deliver compelling concepts and written rationales
  • Present initial ideas and refined creative solutions directly to clients as well as mediate client revisions and/or new directions with a creative team
  • Provide quality control over concepts, creative development, and final production/delivery
  • Work with Human Resources in recruiting process of new team members
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members, including on boarding for new team members and providing career development planning and opportunities

You Will:

  • Work closely with designers, web developers, copywriter, photographer, and the Managing Director to lead and design whatever you need to take the brand to the next level
  • Produce quality work that achieves the desired result of the Department’s goals within a reasonable amount of time and resources
  • Create and execute fresh, innovative concepts that contribute to overall campaign success
  • Be responsible for solid knowledge and understanding of emerging trends and technologies and the ability to institute best practices for print and digital marketing deliverables
  • Work collaboratively with other creative team members, internal departments, and occasionally freelancers to lend support on creative and organizational tasks
  • Take projects from concept development to execution
  • Partner with copywriter and designer to ensure that both the copy and visuals are strong and address the marketing initiative at hand and post-mortem with limited supervision
  • Develop the overall layout, designs, artwork and formats for corporate adverts, brochures, mailers, corporate reports, infographics, events branding, external signage and office branding, ensuring all guidelines are maintained in line with the brand image of the company
  • Develop, design and build of HTML mailers, newsletters, web banners and basic animations; based on knowledge of HTML process, structural limitations, and web development

Job Requirements

You Have:

  • 8+ years of communication leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design communications and/or related fields
  • Knowledge of accepted standards and current trends in of interactive communications, brand development, website, and traditional print design, Social Media and production
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Advanced degree in design, writing and/or business (preferred, but not required)
  • Familiarity with retail, healthcare, food service channels (preferred, but not required).
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in the development of successful campaigns and day-to-day operations
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and delivery of communication plans
  • Experience managing company branding and marketing campaigns
  • Proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, or Video Production is a plus
  • Agency experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience with video shoots, photo shoots, and shoot preparation
  • Stellar typography, color theory, corporate identity, and branding skills
  • A broad knowledge of current design and marketing
  • Self-starter personality with an enthusiastic attitude in accepting work/new challenges
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills, working well across function
