Job Description
- Participating in the planning and preparing the company annual plans and Business plans (3/5/7/10) years of the needed radio sites for Different Technologies (2G/3G/LTE) and for different types/regions using radio planning tools
- Coordinating & Participating in the activities of (Orange group) in the ALD (Antenna Line Devices) and the radio planning Tools(ASSET, Digital maps) example (RFQ for the equipment,Testing and Technical validation, final acceptance, supplier Evaluation)
- Calibrating and updating the radio propagation models and radio link budget calculation for different technologies (2G/3G/4G) and services (voice/data) for accurate radio planning
- Making the needed field CW measurements and drive test measurements of the sites for different technologies (2G/3G/4G) and services (voice/data) for model calibration
- Submitting the network coverage KPI’s and maps for different technologies (2G/3G/4G) and services (voice/data) Monthly/quarterly/annually/ or as being requested to commercial teams and Orange group based on Radio planning tools and corresponding propagation models
- Testing of new radio equipment/solutions including field trail and validating these equipment/solutions before being introduced to the network (such as: New antennas, combiners, S/W tools & RF test equipment…etc)
- Project Manager for introducing new radio equipment & solutions and Tools to the network including building the needed Business cases (technical & Financial) in coordination with different teams, technical validation ,planning & performing drive test measurements & KPIs benchmark and analysis until being on air
- Prepared and delivered presentations on specific technologies / platforms to share knowledge to different teams (Roll-out, Radio, Optimization, Maintenance…etc)
- Managing the complete radio sites database and preparing & submitting all the needed global database reports for various entities (external and internal)
- Responsible for the sites database on the radio planning & database tools and solving the data inconsistency with the support of different teams
- Supervise and coordinate with the maintenance team to audit and collect the sites database across the Network.
- Ordering the radio equipment from different vendors according to the setting budget & following up with the vendors till the delivery and the acceptance of the equipmen
- Testing, measuring and troubleshooting RF path faults and antenna problems; In addition to taking the proper actions to maintain network KPIs and manage faulty RF H/W
- Provide end-to-end troubleshooting support to different technology teams for the new radio equipment
- Replacing faulty radio equipment of different suppliers according to the pre-set SLA & warranty conditions
- Complete H/W management for all Radio equipment; starting from participating in the preparation of RFQs, to evaluating the proposed solutions until managing on-hand stock
Job Requirements
- Bsc of Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in radio design
- Fluent English both spoken and written
