The Business Development Group is Oracle’s demand generation team, working closely with partners and internal sales and marketing teams. This exciting opportunity is focused on managing a team that is focused on building and nurturing relationships with key business accounts leading to demand generation for Oracle's cloud-based applications.

As a Business Development Group Manager with Oracle Digital, you will be part of the world's most complete, open and integrated business software and hardware Systems Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead teams of SaaS or Product Business Development Consultants (BDC’s) focused on contacting and qualifying business accounts to achieve/exceed demand generation targets through Inbound Marketing source leads (MQL’s) and outbound targeted campaign execution.
  • Drive revenue growth through the conversion of their team’s pipeline and navigate their team through the development and nurturing of long term relationships with their clients, coaching them to help address their customers’ needs and challenges within a complex sales environment.
  • Develop and improve the customer experience within Oracle establishing and aligning with various cross functional Senior Management relationships in order to continue improving the services expected from the Business Development Group.
  • Identify, recruit and develop world class Business Development Consultants, providing an exceptional talent pool for career progression within Oracle
  • Invest in Business Development Consultants and Team Leaders (where applicable), enabling them to grow professionally.
  • Build strong business relationships with all stakeholders (In-country Sales Reps, Sales Managers, Territory Managers, Marketing Managers, and Country Managers) to deliver company on goals, vision and strategy.
  • Set individual targets for team members, conduct ongoing regular coaching & performance appraisals and manage all related performance issues.
  • Own the headcount budget process for their region, plan and organize resources to maximize lead qualification. Ensure career progression of team members through consistent coaching, training attendance and support.
  • Report regularly to country owners regarding the performance of the BDC's in lead qualification, furnishing them with statistics of leads quality, plus information on realized and forecast revenue.
  • Act as ambassador at all times for the BDC's within Oracle.
  • Strategically position the BDC's as an invaluable source of lead qualification via the development of key relationships with key client accounts, assisting Territory Managers achieve revenue targets.
  • Drive the use of a utilising a variety of channels such as social media, internet, web based tools & outbound calling.
  • Ensure compliance to Oracle tools usage and processes.
  • Implement programmatic marketing plans, ensuring resources are allocated to achieve business objectives.

The Business Development Group Manager will be an integral member of the BDG Leadership Team and the ideal candidate will:

  • Have managed both revenue and non-revenue producing functions in the IT industry with clients and prospects across EMEA.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and trends of the cloud-based applications space.
  • Have managed teams that have grown rapidly while achieving their financial and operational targets.
  • Exemplify personal drive, determination, process excellence, and the highest of ethical standards.
  • Have a proven track record in growing existing account base and the ability to drive new teams to build solid relationships and to position new products to market.
  • Have proven personal success in sales or deep working knowledge of sales cycle processes.
  • Are strategic in their approach to recruiting, hiring, training, and managing reps with a formalized sales process and informally across various functional teams.
  • Care about their customers best interests and acts as an internal advocate for the Business Development Group.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

The Business Development Manager will be an integral member of the Digital Demand Group Team and the ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven team builder and motivator with previous experience in successful people management within a sales relationship management environment.
  • Excellent coaching skills.
  • Strong understanding of business, how company management make buying decisions can example to teams the power of understanding influences decisions makers etc.
  • Strong understanding of telebusiness operations with an ability to understand and analyses the industry and the market.
  • Budgeting, forecasting & business planning experience.
  • Proven ability to align other departments within their organizations to deliver revenue and sales growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and persuasive skills essential.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Sales/Business Development management with knowledge of SaaS applications a distinct advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential and a second language is favorable.
