Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates potential Direct Materials; DM suppliers Quality Management System QMS to decide their rank and eligibility.
- Cooperates with DM suppliers’ staff to develop rank up plan(s) for potential suppliers-which do not meet ASG quality standards while having a strategic need for dealing with them- and follows up suppliers’ implementation and commitment with the plan.
- Evaluates Qualified DM suppliers technically (if needed) and supports them in case of deficiencies.
- Maintains DM suppliers commitment with predetermined agreed systems and documentation through continuous training and strict follow up for suppliers system implementation.
- Issues DM suppliers Score Card SSC.
- Validates and reviews suppliers document submission and sends to Quality Control manager for approval to guarantee suppliers commitment to ASG quality requirements.
- Reviews, confirms suppliers Ramp-up Activity Plan and implementation conformance with ASG Quality requirements to ensure achievement of quality targets.
- Supervises receiving inspection and containment activities and leads Inward DM quality control staff by monitoring inspection results to guarantee DM quality conformance with requirements.
- Supervises troubleshooting for DM concerns using suitable troubleshooting methods to identify the root cause(s) of the concern, countermeasure implementation, and recurrence prevention.
- Plans and conducts DM suppliers Process Audits and recurrence prevention audits using standard process audit tools to ensure supplier compliance with quality requirements.
- Ensures DM suppliers commitment with change management procedures, proper risk management, and trains DM suppliers on change management and risk management.
- Prepares DM suppliers to target setting proposals to quality control manager for revision and approval.
- Prepares monthly DM suppliers quality performance report(s) and presents it in quality meetings to share DM suppliers quality key Performance Indicators (KPIs) achievement and progress of countermeasures.
- Follows up claim issuance by utilizing claim control sheet to ensure quick response for quality concerns.
- Acts with quick response to customer complaints related to purchased DM quality and takes the necessary countermeasures that prevent recurrence.
- Reports to quality control manager all quality issues on a (daily, weekly, monthly) basis.
- Analyzes quality performance of DM suppliers for each quarter/year and develops quality development plans for critical DM suppliers based on that analysis.
- Evaluates performance of Inward DM quality control staff through layered audits and observation.
- Develops customized training plans for Inward DM quality control staff, DM suppliers quality staff, and approves them from quality control manager and performs these training plans.
- Collaborates With quality control manager to set plans and initiatives to improve DM suppliers processes/products quality.
- Commits with quality and safety policies and regulations and Monitors commitment of Inward DM quality control staff with them.
- Follows up proper preservation of Inward DM measuring tools and ensures commitment with calibration plan(s).
- Regulates documents control of receiving inspection and ensures proper document preservation.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Sc. in relevant Engineering degree; Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- +4 years of experience in a quality control and assurance or engineering role, preferably in a multinational manufacturing organization.
Knowledge:
- ISO 9000
- SQC & SPC; can solve problems using SQC & SPC.
- Root Cause Analysis RCA.
- FMEA, FTA.
- Quality plans/Control plans.
- Cost of quality (COQ).
- Continuous improvement techniques; lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma ...etc.
- Quality Certification will be an advantage.
