Job Description

As an IA Technical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing how Acensys captures workflows at clients’ sites, design and document processes, develop and implement processes automation, through three main areas of responsibility…

Team leadership, strategy & planning:

  • Technically lead a team of software developers, especially in IA/RPA; including technical recruitment, appraisals, one-on-one meetings, identifying training needs, motivating and managing the team performance, to drive the strategic direction of our products & services, constantly taking into account emerging technologies
  • Provide coaching and manage the performance of individual team members; ensuring team members at the office and on clients’ sites properly adhere to all relevant policies and business practices in the utmost professional manner
  • Share your knowledge and experiences to train and mentor team members on RPA tools and technologies
  • Oversee strategy for both product and bespoke code base platform definition and implementation
  • Advise on how we manage our software development and support engagements
  • Devise a tactical plan that is collaboratively carried out by the team to implement improvements to our products, services, processes, and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Plan for team growth considering the blend/level of skills required within the team
  • Liaise between the technical delivery team and the business delivery team of BA’s and Management Consultants.
  • Review projects’ progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in the team
  • Facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements, and support delivered by the team
  • Participate strongly in technology and methodology decision making, including standardization of system architecture, reusable code base development, code versions tools, source control, and deployment processes
  • Make sure that all team members have the latest in-depth knowledge of relevant current and future technologies
  • Have a clear plan and a task list for inducting new members into the team and bringing them up-to-speed as quickly as possible
  • Ensure that all team members understand and abide by company rules, policies and onsite clients’ norms
  • Propose and plan it that all training and support that team members require is delivered internally or externally

Software development:

  • Analyze, understand and document business processes
  • Create and maintain solutions’ documentation; review and approve documents and artifacts created by the Acensys teams and at the client side
  • Help gather projects’ requirements for integration with other enterprise products, including infrastructure requirements
  • Work within project planning constraints, communicate identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project managers
  • Keep up to date with the latest software development technologies and methodologies, especially in the fields of Intelligent Automation (IA) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Analyze, design and test internal and external projects with proper industry standard documentation and best practices
  • Build future-proof, reusable code libraries, which can be shared, to drive further efficiency throughout the team
  • Ensure we deliver code which is well tested and consistently error-free
  • Fix issues that arise in automated processes and provide timely responses
  • Take responsibility for proper solutions deployment and Hyper-Care
  • Build and maintain a Knowledge Base for the team that is optimally structured, secured and has integrity and scalability
  • Own and maintain our code safe.

Communication and problem solving:

  • Consistently utilize experience when reviewing and auditing legacy and new code
  • Analyze and assess processes, and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Assist in critical support issues where your experience is required to ascertain the issue quickly and to always find the most appropriate resolution to the issues
  • Take control over critical support instances and putting into place the correct escalation and process to manage and resolve the issue as soon as possible, consistently honoring Service

Job Requirements

Prerequisite Experience/Skills Required:

  • Graduate from Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in object-oriented programming: C#, C++, VB, Java, or Python preferred
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Automation (IA) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies: UiPath, Blue Prism, Work Fusion, others
  • Knowledge of SQL databases
  • Experience with HTML/JavaScript, software testing, Visio or similar workflow documentation tool
  • Experience with business process analysis and business process improvements
  • Experience with process documentation, including system requirements for business processes (data, presentation, and logic), system specifications, PDD, SDD, and others
  • Understanding workflow-based logic
  • Understanding and adherence to formal change control procedures and disciplines
  • An aptitude for problem-solving and logical thinking
  • A sufficient level of business understanding to excel as an IA/RPA developer, mentor, and consultant to Acensys sales teams, business analysts, projects managers and to Acensys clients.
  • Good communication skills that enable you to communicate effectively to explain technical points in business terms understandable to various stakeholders, across different communication media, including digital media, presentations, etc.
  • Very good command of the English language, written and spoke

Nice-to-Have Experience/Skills:

  • A track record in the successful delivery and support of Excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technology
  • Experience working at client sites
  • Experience working with Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath, Work Fusion, Pega
  • Experience with API’s and/or Cloud Services
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
