Job Description
- Leads the engineering team in the research, development and design of engineering solutions in the production of Detailed Energy Conservation Studies (DECS).
- Possess an in-depth quality focus and the ability to perform and manage all of the Key Accountabilities.
- Provides leadership characteristics that foster team progress, takes the initiative to take on challenging assignments and creates opportunity where none exists.
- Provides engineering leadership and is considered the technical expert.
- Displays strong project management skills. These duties would include the direction and supervision of engineering personnel and the control of activity prioritization.
- Attains project and management goals on time and within established budget.
- Establishes project budgets.
- Predicts and communicates challenges in meeting objectives to management.
- Interfaces with customers with activities that include phone, electronic and personal communication as necessary to support development, release and follow of study results. This would include professional representation of GAP-Tech in all arenas of possible customer presence.
- Recognizes the need for and initiating appropriate management actions to assure positive customer relationship.
- Actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members.
- Prepares and carries out significant internal and external project presentations.
- Manages all aspects of document control requirements as indicated in our Document Numbering Procedures.
- Drives a Continuous Improvement culture within the Technical Studies group.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- Masters Degree in technical field or an MBA is preferred.
- Manufacturing and Science experience
- A combination of ten years experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management and/or supervision of professional/technical people.
- Management presentation skills and experience.
- Project leadership experience desired.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
- Expert in Microsoft Excel applications, VBA and programmed functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office package (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
