Currently we have the opportunity for a dynamic Account Receivables (AR) & Credit Specialist to join our Egyptian team in Cairo.

As a AR & Credit Specialist you will manage and organize the Collections and Queries activities according a clear policy in terms of efficiency (priority setting, to do lists, shared customers, registration & follow up) and effectiveness (minimal overdues and queries). You will receive predetermined work assignments that are subject to a high level of control and review. You will use established guidelines, procedures and policies in order to minimize the outstanding receivables and the day’s sales outstanding.

You will report to the Financial Controller North-East Africa

You are responsible for:

  • Accurate and timely billing to customers
  • Performing regular customers' accounts reconciliations and confirmations
  • Reconciling AR General Ledger (GL) with Sub GL and ensure zero differences
  • Ensuring proper cash application for customers’ invoices and clearance of on-account transactions on timely basis
  • Organizing, supporting and developing accounts receivable process
  • Establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective delinquency control and follow-up program for all customer accounts that are late, delinquent, potentially delinquent, or written-off
  • Performing remaining enabling Order to Cash activities (e.g. credit notes with open items)
  • Following- up on relevant queries and solving escalations from sectors
  • Providing leadership and direction to departmental staff
  • Responsible for compliance of ICS checks
Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor in Accounting or related Field.
  • Minimum 4 years + of working experience with accounting, collections, account receivables
  • Customer service focus
  • Commercial sensitivity and business savvy
  • Show determination to achieve excellent results
  • Solid experience with working on Excel sheets
  • SAP and Customer Master data process
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Team player, Open minded change agent
  • Familiar and comfortable with a large, international, multi-matrix environment
  • Mentoring, coaching skills
  • Good level of English
