Job Description
- Develops eCommerce, PHP and CMS-based solutions, assists our VP of Design & Technology in requirements gathering, and web project planning. Demonstrate leadership by finding / developing new technologies and methods to advance the company’s offerings.
- Turn graphic mockups into functional webpages and make periodic updates
- Ensure success and maintenance of all integrations between Shopify or WooCommerce and other tech platforms such as the ERP and accounting software, GoogleAnalytics, MailChimp, ShipStation, payment gateway, etc.
- Works extensively with UI / UX designers, web designers and other creative employees to execute on detailed digital design schemes
- Proactive monitoring of all functionality of site and recommendations for upgrades / optimization of platforms and apps
- Acts as the project leader for major company/system projects as necessary
Job Requirements
- Development of WordPress websites
- Setting up e-commerce applications such as WooCommerce
- Experience with CMS.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented PHP back-end development.
- Ensure the technical feasibility and best practices of UX/UI designs, with a focus on consistency and usability.
- Familiar With Social Media and Third-Party APIs
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Foundation.
- Experience Building User Interfaces and Prototypes From Wireframes and Designs
- Experience With Git and Github
- Familiar With Development and Debugging Tools for Cross-Browser Issues
- Experienced in all best practices for ensuring optimization for search
- Ability to conduct A/B testing for page and content optimization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Honest, trustworthy, resourceful, positive attitude are essential
- 3+ years experience with WooCommerce and WordPress
- 3+ years front-end development, solid project-level experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS
