Job Description
Job Responsibilities and Duties :
- Install, Manage and Administrate servers which includes both physical and Virtual environment (VM Ware).
- Server configuration/hardening/upgrade
- Manage Domain controller, Microsoft Exchange server, Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG), Kaspersky Enterprise Antivirus
- Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / Add new services as required
- Configuring Active Directory Service, DNS, DHCP, and Terminal Services etc
- Group Policy management
- User and group management, Access restrictions, Security, Shared folder and permissions
- System recovery during disasters - Backup/restore server backups (Symantec Backup Exec and Veeam backup)
- Installation and Configuration of Local and Network Printers, Scanners, Copiers.
- Managing IT helpdesk System
- Responsible for LAN/WAN related activities including performance monitoring and monitoring Remote users
- Contribute to maintain system standards
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Install new /rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage etc.in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Engineering of SA related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Remote site support
- User support if required.
Job Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & WORKING EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
- Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft
- HCI Awareness and Storage,
- NAS Knowledge and awareness of Vlans, Ports, Cisco Switches etc.
