Job Description
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and incorrect amounts.
- Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
- Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- adhere to very strict record keeping
- prepare reports for appropriate individuals within the company of the items ordered, prices as well as need
- handling bidding funds, reading bids publicly and making a recommendation on which bid is the best for the company.
Job Requirements
Personal Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university.
- Experience 4-5 years in the same field.
- Very good communication & negotiation skills.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify a problem and find a solution.
- Strong time management skills.
- Preferable to have previous experience in Retails.
- Good command of the English language.
Technical Skills:
- Very good knowledge of SCM (Supply Chain).
- Experience working with programs that serve the purchasing department.
- Knowledge of system analysis, how workflow changes and related outcomes.
- Experience with management of financial resources.
- Very good knowledge of different purchasing systems.
