They design and deliver all kinds of training courses and assessments – from lectures to certification exams – for the benefit of internal and external customers. Working closely with colleagues, tech experts, partners and customers, they shape curriculum content to suit diverse needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of technology-oriented certification exams sponsored by the Dell EMC Proven Professional certification program for IT professionals
  • Conduct Job Task Analyses workshops to identify key responsibilities and tasks of the critical job roles for a specific exam
  • Facilitate Exam Development Workshops and Field Review of certification exams to ensure that they are created on time, meet objectives, and meet recognized testing standards
  • Work with various worldwide teams (e.g., content development, product management, product engineering, etc.) to ensure alignment with Dell EMC Education Services and Dell EMC Proven Professional Program goals and initiatives
  • Review and offer feedback on low stakes tests as required
Job Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in education, training, instructional design
  • Excellent English language, communication and interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years experience in developing high stakes certification exams, including experience in:
  • Project managing the overall development of a certification exam; from inception to publication
  • Conducting Job Task Analysis (JTAs), particularly for high stakes exams
  • Providing consultative expertise/guidance in the development of exam blueprints and exam items
  • Providing direction to SMEs in exam development and editorial direction in the development of exam items using APA standards
  • Ensuring and documenting exam validity and reliability
  • Experienced with APA standards; standards used by the certification industry
  • Exemplary project/time management skills/experience
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating workshops (internal and remote) with highly skilled, experienced technical experts and ensuring that workshop goals are attained
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with worldwide individuals and groups throughout a large scale business environment

Desirable Requirements

  • Background in Information Technology (IT) and in applying testing standards within a worldwide IT education environment
  • Experience publishing exams through a vendor that provides secure testing centers for IT certification
  • Mastery in Microsoft Word, Excel (specifically working with formulas), PowerPoint, etc.
