Our client is a Kuwait based Pan-Arab website producing high quality content for arab youth located in El Maadi.
Our client is made up five main teams that make up its core functions:
- Editorial Team
- Audience Development Team
- Technology Team
- Their Studio
- Their Productions
Job Requirements
- They are looking to hire a Full-time data scientist to lead the “Analytics Department” in their Maadi, Cairo office. The data scientist should be interested in content.
- Familiarity with digital marketing is a plus.
- He/She will be working closely with the rest of the team to inform them with customized reports and recommendations, so he/she will be responsible of creating a data-informed workplace, not a data-driven one, aligned with the editorial priorities.
- The new data lead will be in charge of hypothesizing and aiding the audience development and the editorial teams in their drive towards growth.
- Customization is the cornerstone of the data scientist mission. We are looking to quantify our presence with a scoring system tailored for different operations, that can be captured easily on a managerial level, and broken-down for execution level where better decisions can be made.
- Easy access of information by the team is a priority. This goal will be phased, from reports, to dashboards, until we have a customized tool/process serving the whole team. Technology has to be a key factor in this mission, and familiarity with data visualization libraries is a plus.
- The feedback loop mustn’t be closed. The data scientist is required to design experiments with other team members, analyze it, and come up with insightful recommendations, as well as experiments to maintain a continuous process of optimization on different levels.
- The data scientist will also be in charge of planning the expansion of company’s capability in data and analytics, like hiring additional team members to help, and having a vision for the company to be the best data informed Arabic content platform.
