Regulatory Compliance & Permitting Advisor

Role synopsis

The primary roles and a responsibility of Regulatory Compliance & Permitting Advisor is :

• Coordinate HSSE Compliance management system and EMS
• Coordinate self-verification process for CMS and EMS
• Conduct self-verification activity in regard to compliance with HSSE regulations
• Support development and delivery of RCE compliance tasks
• Support line self-verification of RC system in Region

Key accountabilities

Advising the Upstream on continuously improving HSE-related performance

1. Support liaison activities with operations leadership and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Team leads for timely delivery of permits and provide support to HSE advisors in the interpretation of HSSE regulations and requirements.
2. Conduct regular communications to engage workforce on Compliance Management System (CMS), notify them of new legislations
3. Support the Regulatory Compliance and Environment (RCE) Manager to implement compliance strategy and to resolve conflicts and inconsistencies.
4. Identify applicable legal and regulatory HSSE requirements
5. Advise appropriate creating and completing compliance tasks
6. Support the maintenance and improvement of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in line with Company Operating Management System (OMS).

Support HSE-related self-verification and supporting self-verification plans

1. support verification activity as to whether the region complies with applicable HSSE legal and regulatory requirements
2. Lead the implementation of the self-verification process for HSE Compliance management.
3. Liaise with the workforce to support their Regulatory Compliance verification activities

Support Issuing and maintaining HSE-related procedures and guidance

1. Maintain HSSE Compliance Management System for the Region supporting Operations, Wells (drilling), Resources and Projects
2. Agree actions and document accountabilities for compliance tasks
3. Provide compliance management (KPIs) for LT team. Maintain Compliance Management System (CMS) tools and update task assignments for personnel and organization changes
4. Develop and update relevant practices and procedures for systematic compliance management

Support HSE-related activities in support of conformance and Health Safety and Environment regulatory compliance

1. Support Regulatory Compliance and Environment (RCE) Manager in external stakeholders’ engagement including with regulatory agencies
2. Develop and deliver Regulatory Compliance (RC) training and awareness sessions to the Region
3. Participate in the HSSE Compliance Management System (CMS) Network and share learning with other Regions
