Our Solutions Architecture team within Professional Services are experts in package customization and integration as well as total, end-to-end solutions in targeted industry segments.
- After thorough consultation with our customers and careful analysis, we develop new IT systems or replace existing systems that support customers’ strategic, operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Logical Configuration Survey calls with clients, recommending designs based on customer requirements and equipment purchased
- Factory logical configuration of CI/HCI systems.
- Installation of Vxblock/VxRack systems on-site at customer locations
- Configuration of Vxblock components, including but not limited to Dell Power edge, Cisco UCS, Cisco C-class servers, vSphere, UIM, Windows, Linux
- Comprehensive backup and testing of all installed Vxblock/VxRack components
- In-depth Knowledge Transfer of CI/HCI Systems to customers
- Hardware, software and firmware upgrades of CI/HCI systems and components
- Preparation and completion of required pre and post deployment documentation
- Mentoring of partners in CI/HCI technology and deployment
- Cross-training in all CI/HCI components and technologies
- Sales or pre-sales support and qualification
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Experience with Dell EMC Storage products (Unity, VMAX, Scale IO, Isilon), VMware Vsphere
- Cisco UCS, Dell Power edge
- Minimum 5 years industry experience: design, install, configure, support
- Configuration of Vblock networking components, including but not limited to Cisco Nexus 5k, Nexus 7K, Nexus 9K Nexus 1000V, 3750, 3560, and UCS.
- Integration of Vblock networking components into customer environments
- Implementing, administrating and troubleshooting common TCP/IP based services, including NTP, DNS, SSL, SSH, services, etc.
- Experience with network protocols
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - Professional, dependable, and flexible team player.
- Must work well under pressure
- Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
- Ability to work effectively with senior management.
- Mentoring/Coaching skills
- Travel up to 50%
- CCNP DC Certification
Desirable Requirements
- NSX hands-on experience
- Third language is a plus, German or French is preferred.
- VCP 6 or later Certification
- CCIE Certification
