- Our client’s portfolio represents a continuum of activities spanning from prescription drugs and consumer health care products to dermo-cosmetics. In 2016, It also dedicated almost 143 million euros to R&D, shared between oncology, the central nervous system, consumer health care, dermatology, and dermo-cosmetics.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provides operational support to the Medical Affairs department
- Assists the MA department in the daily activities and assignments
- Participates in the preparations of internal training and updates meetings of marketing/sales team
- Ensures cross-functional partnership with concerned people at the local and Corporate levels (ie: QiRVi, legal …) and adequate medical support for the sales and marketing department
Main Duties:
- Provides adequate support to sponsor-investigators for the proper submission of IITs proposals
- Ensures proper follow-up with the sponsor-investigators for the ongoing IITs
- Maintains a proper archiving system for the MA department files
- Assists in the preparations of internal training, medical activities and medical support for the sales and marketing teams in the ME
- Assists in answering internal and external medical information requests received from various stakeholders of the ME (physicians, pharmacists, patients or consumers…)
- Assists in the review and tracking of promotional materials following PFMS ME SOP
- Assists in the preparation/update of medical slide kits (internal for training and external for roundtables, symposia…) and in the review of slide kits prepared by other departments
- Ensure appropriate coordination is in place with the following functional activities: QA, regulatory activity, marketing, legal, sales representatives, and any other local function which needs support from or which activity has an impact on scientific and medical information).
- Supports in the writing of minutes following medico-marketing activities (Advisory boards…)
- Supports competitive intelligence
- Whenever needed supports in the writing/update of SOPs relevant to the MA department
- Assists in the preparation of the department expenses
Context and Issues Of Position:
- The Associate Medical Affairs Manager is a position requiring continuous partnership and good coordination with MOM, local QiRVI department and local marketing department
- He/She should take part in the reinforcement of compliance and ensure a good and regularly updated knowledge of products
- He/She is responsible for abiding the Corporate guidelines and local SOPs
- He/She should act under functional responsibility of the Middle East Medical Operations Manager
- Position implies solid scientific/medical background
- Appropriate planning and organization to enable prioritization of tasks, responsibilities sense and autonomy, proactivity are required to hold the position properly
- Communication, self-motivation, flexibility, customers focus and details awareness are competencies required for this role

- Medical/Pharmaceutical education
- Previous experience in medical affairs in pharmaceutical industry preferably within 1-2 years
- Familiar with scientific principles and clinical trials
