Teacher of English – Cairo , Egypt (EGY-T-0577-7)

• The Teaching Centres in Egypt run eight 5 week terms of 30 hours through the year followed by 2 intensive courses in the summer months for Adult classes and three 10 week terms of 20 hours for Young Learner classes. Teachers are contracted to teach 25 contact hours per week - including breaks taken during each class.
• The timetable means that most teachers teach either over 5 days each week or 4 days with 1 (non-teaching) work day. Lessons times for Adult Courses are 10.30 to 13.00, 13.30 to 16.00, 16.30 to 19.00 and 19.30 to 10.30 from Saturday to Thursday. YL classes run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

• Courses include General English, English for Business, Conversation, IELTS, Academic Writing and Young Learners. Professional skills, corporate and offsite classes are also offered.
• Teachers will be timetabled according to their experience / preferences but will be expected to teach the full range of courses available.

• All teachers are expected to attend regular in-service training sessions, follow the professional development systems and are encouraged to provide input into resources and other areas for the development of the centre's language programmes.

This is an excellent post for new teachers as we have a large number of Senior Teachers and Coordinators to support professional and personal development, however for more experienced teachers we offer DELTA, TYLEC and other courses, Teacher Training work as well as cross departmental opportunities.
