Job Description
- Smart Meters site engineer is responsible for organizing and supervising materials and people. Site engineer mark out the site, ensures designs are applied correctly and supervise the sub-contractors on site. Regular liaison with the client, its representatives, and any consultants is another prerequisite for the job.
- Ensure accurate setting out and leveling of the works in accordance with the drawings/ specifications.
- Ensure quality control and testing of work and materials is carried out in accordance with the specification requirements.
- Acting as the main technical advisor, direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors when required, resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Establish, maintain and build good relations with clients as well as their representatives and ensure other QA Project Team and sub-contractors do likewise.
- Supervise the implementation of the following subcontractors’ tasks:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of single or multi-phase electric, gas, and water smart meters.
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of smart meter communication units
- using computerized fault-finding equipment
- Attending emergency call outs and carrying out testing or repair work.
- Recording materials used, required and work completed, possibly using a laptop
- Conduct educational site sessions to customers on smart metering systems work.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Communication Engineering.
- At least experience of 5-6 years in site implementation role.
- Experience in implementing smart meters projects is recommended.
- English language fluency, writing, and speaking.
- Good knowledge in Primavera, AutoCAD.
- Have an accurate, methodical approach and an eye for detail
