Job Description
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be a part of the Power Grids Division and Business Unit Grid Automation based in Cairo, Egypt. You will act as commissioning lead of projects with low to medium complexity. Ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with Contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Tasks:
Your main responsibilities in this role will include:
Commissioning of SAS/ Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) systems / devices (in cooperation with customer representative).
Technical contribution:
- Contributing to planning and implementation of commissioning Activities. Supporting and coordinating the installation activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager. Implementing commissioning design changes and providing mark-ups for as built project documentation. Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.
Sales Support:
- Assisting Sales in site reviews and client information.
Risk and opportunity:
- Commissioning phase to ensure implementation of commissioning plan, identifying and reporting potential risks related to contract/quality/program/cost and recommends resolutions to project manager. Conducting Safety Observation tour regularly to report and mitigate potential HSE hazards.
Customers:
- Coordinating site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance Certification. Identifying and recommending new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs. Providing relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customer.
Reporting:
- Reporting to the project manager (test protocols, daily commissioning log, weekly progress report, and site acceptance test signed by the customer, etc.
Job Requirements
As the ideal candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineer with 5 years of SAS experience, especially on commissioning.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
