Service Engineer

As a Service Engineer you will be a part of the Industrial Automation Division and Business Unit Control Technologies based in Cairo, Egypt. You will be responsible for achieving ABB’s customer satisfaction through professional on-site service aligned with ABB values (Responsibility, Determination and Respect). Perform remote and on-site service activities for ABB products and/or systems in accordance with customer requirements. Ensure timely, cost effective solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Tasks:

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

• The Field Service Engineer is responsible for helping ABB customers solving the technical problems they face with ABB products and / or systems in a professional way to save the customer’s production and increase ABB’s products or systems reliability.

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for making the following activities upon request:-

• Conducting site surveys and inspection visits.
• Determining the essential needs for job completion.
• On-site activities to rectify any technical problem.
• Site-report preparation and get it signed by the customer.
• Submitting the technical report for each service job to the BU
• Preparing documentation of the projects (Drawings / Diagrams)
• Providing assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary. Performs remote service assistance using remote connection and diagnostics tools.
• Obtaining acknowledgement from the customer regarding the completed tasks and detailed activities performed to solve the customer problem.
• Performing system configuration integration, loads and tests the applications, both internally and with the customer.
