About the Job

The Grant Management Associate will serve as the critical link between EFE-Egypt and its donor partners, ensuring the success of EFE-Egypt’s training programs. The Associate will be responsible for the donor relationship and engagement cycle from project start to finish, including: creating concept notes, proposals and high-level budgets, financial management of grants, maintaining relations with new and on-going donors, and narrative reporting on activities. The Associate works closely with the Training, Programs, Partnerships and Communication, and Finance teams to oversee each aspect of project implementation to ensure compliance with donor guidelines and grant deadlines.

Under the direct supervision of the Business Development and Compliance Officer, the Grant Management Associate will be responsible for:

    • Drafting and submitting project-specific narrative and technical reports as per donor requirements and grant deadlines
    • Liaising with donors to ensure grant compliance of all programs
    • Drafting project-related Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) and legal agreements
    • Tracking program enrollment, graduation, job placements and employer pre-commitments via M&E tools in coordination with the Programs Department
  • Ensuring high-quality program implementation as project lead by:
    • Planning, attending, and documenting team coordination meetings in collaboration with the Programs Officer
    • Liaising with the Programs Department to ensure project targets are met in a timely manner
    • Liaising with the Training Department to customize curriculum and ensure that program curriculum is in line with donor agreements
    • Liaising with the Partnerships and Communication department to ensure that employer partnerships are in line with projects’ scope
    • Managing program budgets in collaboration with the Finance Department to ensure that all program spending is in accordance with budget agreements
  • In collaboration with the Business Development and Compliance Officer, seeking partnerships with governmental and private sector donors in order to further the organizational mission and vision of EFE-Egypt in the following capacities:
    • Attending meetings with governmental and non-governmental partners and donors to expand EFE-Egypt’s grant portfolio
    • Developing project concept notes and proposals as per EFE-Egypt’s proposal-writing standards in collaboration with the EFE-Egypt’s operations team
    • Designing programs in line with EFE-Egypt’s mission and vision
    • Collaborating with EFE-Global and Europe-EFE on joint grant applications
  • Carrying out other duties and assignments delegated by the Grants Management Department or CEO as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (business administration, public administration or communications degree preferred)
  • Background in research projects preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the private sector or NGOs
  • Experience in project and account management
  • Experience with budget management and development
  • Ability to travel throughout Egypt when necessary
  • Excellent English and Arabic written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, creative, focused, organized, and team-oriented
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows and Office)
