Job Description
- Codes, tests and troubleshoots programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
- Refines data and formats final product.
- Maintains and modifies programs and makes approved changes by amending flow charts, develops detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
- Tests and develops programming modifications.
- Writes new program code using prescribed specifications.
- Evaluates simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program that would cause unwanted results in a related part.
- Analyzes performance of programs and takes action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
- Confers with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications for existing programs and resolves questions of program intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
- Writes and maintains programming documentation.
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
- Documents programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Provides on-the-job training to new ITD staff members and computer orientation to new Bank staff.
- Acts as ‘Duty Officer’ on a weekly rotating on-call roll, who will be assigned many small to medium operational tasks such as systems monitoring, initial troubleshooting, and emergency responses.
- Works independently to ensure that a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is defined and utilized for all development efforts.
- Query optimization, Procedures, Applications, Processes and Documentation.
- In addition, developing and maintaining data export, as well as, transformation and load processes for the Environment.
- Interfacing with a successful Development Team to ensure efficient database operations and provide value that assures effective use of SQL Server Databases.
- Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed, and become familiar with ITD policies, services, and staff.
Job Requirements
- A University degree in Computer Science Engineering and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems implementation and support.
- Experience with banking industry systems is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Good team player with the ability to work very effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented manner with other team members.
- Must have initiative and a positive work attitude and must be a quick learner with a zeal for self-learning. Must be confident, eager and willing to take on new challenges.
- Must be cooperative with good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and capable for multi tasks.
