Job Description

Summary of position:

Primary responsibilities are leading the organization to pursue and achieve the desired objectives in accordance with established plans and schedules while measuring the actual performance against desired goals and plans and taking necessary steps so to ensure turnover and profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues
  • Co-ordinate sales action plans for individual salespeople
  • Ensure sales team have the necessary resources to perform properly
  • Monitor the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team
  • Oversee and evaluate the activities and performance of the sales team
  • Provide feedback, support and coaching to the sales team to ensure highest levels of efficiency & effectiveness
  • Coordinate sales team training in accordance with company directives / strategy
  • Analyze data to identify sales opportunities
  • Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
  • Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Co-ordinate and monitor online sales activity
  • Track, collate and interpret sales figures
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue
  • Delegate responsibility for customer accounts to sales personnel
  • Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
  • Practice hands on management (60-70% in the field)
  • Review Pricing Structure and suggest corrective action when possible
  • Develop pricing schedules and rates
  • Formulate sales policies and procedures
  • Prepare budgets and periodical updates as per company timelines
  • Manage related profit & loss sheets
  • Maintain inventory control
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
  • Generate timely reports (sales, stocks, tenders, planners…)
  • Working closely with product managers so to set the targeted specialties, coverage and frequency of calls
  • Work closely with Product Manager to suggest annual Marketing and Sales Plan/Product and follow up its effect on ROI, take measures in case of deviation aligned with the PM
  • Work closely with Product Manager to approve Marketing and Sales investments and keep monthly track through meetings with the PMs
  • Working in close cooperation with product managers and regulatory to ensure elements of market access
  • Develop promotional ideas and material
  • Attend trade meetings and industry conventions

Job Requirements

  • Background.

    • Medical / Pharmaceutical Education
    • Previous Experience as a Sales Manager in Pharmaceutical Industry (Preferably Oncology) within 4-5 Years.
    • In Depth Knowledge of Egypt Pharmaceutical Business, particularities & Local Regulations.
    • A Great Understanding of Country Registration Process & Different Market Access Approaches.
    • In Depth Knowledge of P & L Analysis & its Efficient Reporting.
    • Ensured a significant and sustained improvement in achievement outcomes throughout his career.

    Skills.

    • Fluent in English / French could be an added value.
