Job Description
Main Job Duties:
- Designs, maintains, and operates a redundant, fault-tolerant network
- Manages the delivery of successful network services and solutions projects
- Proactively monitors, improves, and reports on network KPIs and service levels
- Develops policies, procedures, and best practices for operations and provisioning
- Acquires appropriate tools and platforms to support and enhance service levels
- Performs capacity planning for network resources and takes decisions appropriately
- Maintains an inventory of all network elements and plans technology refresh projects
- Manages contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Budgets for network services projects CAPEX, OPEX, and staff
- Hires, develops, mentors, and coaches a qualified team
Job Requirements
- 20 years of experience with 10 years in a management capacity in a similar position
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant discipline
- A proven track record in successfully managing sizeable networks and projects
- A service management certification (ITIL or similar) is preferred
- A project management training (PMP or similar) is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
