Job Description

  • Manages and recruits the ICT team, coordinates their daily activities, provide them with training and guidance when needed and enforce department vision, mission and ethics always.
  • Ensures technology is accessible to all staff members and equipped with the latest hardware and software to support the educational process.
  • Manages, acts as the super administrator and maintains sustainable operation of all ICT systems like • G-suite account • Office 365 account • School’s website
  • All social media representing the school (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, …)
  • School Management System SMS
  • School portals (Gateway and Portail)
  • IT and maintenance helpdesk
  • System for sending bulk SMS messages
  • Backup system
  • Photocopy and different paper and ID printing functions
  • Attendance tracking system 4. In charge of developing and maintaining ICT policies:
  • IT and maintenance helpdesk policy • Internet usage policy • Devices usage policy including BUID
  • Mobiles connectivity policy
  • Communication policy
  • Conducts the analysis and design of new modules in the in-house developed systems and ensures that requirements are clearly communicated between the end users and the development team.
  • Prepares the annual estimated IT budget in coordination with the leadership team.
  • Attends school leadership meetings when necessary.
  • Liaises with the purchasing department to ensure that all IT purchases are performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Fully understand the school’s technological requirements and responds to staff complaints and reported IT-related problems.
  • Sets KPIs for the ICT team members, conduct their annual performance appraisal interviews and presents the appraisal reports to the HR department. Set the targets of the team and prepare their professional development plans.
  • Liaises with the academic technology coordinators in all schools to ensure that all their technical requirements are satisfied by the ICT department’s resources.

Job Requirements

  • Holds B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering (Postgraduate studies is an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT administration role preferably in an educational environment.
  • Possess excellent leadership and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
  • Professional broad IT knowledge and skills in areas like networking and infrastructure, development tools, hardware and software, and the latest educational resources.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
