Job Description

  • Develops internal and external relationships using formal and informal channels to liaise with appropriate authorities / bodies or contact persons to resolve any problems or matters concerning the Company, its operations or employees, including traffic accidents and police matters
  • Provides information/new updates, to the Chairman regarding legislative initiatives
  • Acts as the first point of contact for senior management with regards to government relations
  • Acts as an ambassador for the Company ensuring that business visas to other countries are obtained from foreign embassies / consulates as required by the Business
  • Establishes and maintains planning documentation to ensure that key milestones are achieved
  • Issues & renews driving licenses & issue driving authorization letters
  • Issues car accident reports
  • Transfers car ownerships and car licensing renewal documentation
  • Develops and implements timely and cost effective processes to manage passport and visa activities ensuring documents are tracked and reports are available to monitor progress
  • Continues to update his knowledge regarding any changes or amendments in the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures and keeps Executive Management informed of such changes
  • Liaises with various Government Departments and Agencies and responsible to cultivate and maintain goodwill and healthy business relationships
  • Renews company industrial license and all other corporate or land associated licenses from the necessary government authorities
  • Does all other tasks requested by the Chairman as necessary to support the organizational initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Diploma Degree in Business Administration or Similar field
  • Minimum (15) years’ experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in MS Office Excel and Word
  • Ability in English Language
  • Must have a valid driving license
  • A minimum 5 years' government and civil authority liaison in appropriate market for commercial / business operations purposes
  • Public relations skills would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with authorities
  • A proactive and objective approach to problem solving.
