Job Description
As a quality professional with strong subject knowledge, both in depth and breadth across a number of different areas of Quality Control, you will realise continuous improvement opportunities related to implementation of new/improved QC technology and business processes in commercial testing setting across global QC network.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and evaluate QC technology (testing technology and IT technology) and business process improvement opportunities to significantly increase QC productivity and reliability.
- Build business cases, address stakeholder needs, secure resources and funding, drive implementation, and demonstrate productivity enhancement per approved business cases.
- Set strategic direction, provide expert support and technical leadership to global implementation.
- Engage and lead a network of champions at site, regional and functional level to define and deploy the standard global processes and practices.
- Influence, review and assist in the preparation of regional, site and functional Lean transformation maps and tactical implementation plans to ensure the new standards, processes and practices are implemented
- Work with the leaders to sponsor and establish suitable education and training to develop and maintain the necessary capabilities within the site/region/function
- Remain aware of external best practice in their field and use the knowledge to drive continuous improvement and tangible results
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a scientific, manufacturing, engineering or related technical/business discipline
- Experience in multiple areas of quality assurance within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, especially quality control.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and new technology implementation.
- Experience working cross functionally, ability to influence without authority.
- Track record of delivering business impact and sustained change, familiar with basic change management principles
- Experience of the application of Lean principles, processes, tool and behaviours
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience
- Hands on experience in some of the following areas, lab automation, automated QC data analyses, QC IT systems.
