Description

Position Purpose

With some oversight, responsible for coordination and execution of moderately complex/medium scale Supply Chain activities, using a full knowledge of trade execution, Logistics, planning practices and procedures, related to customer interaction / business partnership, process improvement / compliance, data management / documentation, Planning, strategy development / shipment execution, and performance management / research & analyses.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provides plan and solutions for cargo accommodation
  • Ensures updated vessel/carrier line-up and projection schedule is maintained and communicated to necessary parties
  • Maintains and develops relationships with medium-size accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners (e.g. Supervisory companies, insurance companies, laboratories, agents, warehouses/trucking companies, buyers, and sellers)
  • Under some supervision, analyzes and reconciles inventory, warehouse transfers, loading orders, quality, claims, demurrage and despatch cases, etc. Coordinates a solution for customers and traders
  • Tracking the location of the vessel during its voyage, and supervising the unloading the vessel at the destination por
  • Executes the short-term (weekly/daily) game plan in relation to the allocation of freight and inventory
  • May participate in location visits as needed with supervisor/manager and/or team members to ensure efficient sales and logistics execution (e.g. customers, ports, refineries, elevators, warehouses, local authorities, and service providers)

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • University Bachelor degree in shipping or supply chain & logistics or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in computers especially with Excel formulas and applications
  • Good command on English language (Reading and Writing both)
  • Preferably Exposure to courses in import/export business, shipping, Gafta or Fosf
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in Trade Execution, Planning, Logistics or Shipping
  • Exposed to working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates high performance (work performance, attendance & safety record)
  • Innovative & Self motivated
  • Flexible to adapt changing conditions in the business & ownership to accountability and responsibility
  • Team Player & ability to manage conflict to achieve win-win situations.
