The role will lead the managing the cost and performance of 3PL (commercial carriers) in Egypt.

We are seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our Egypt outbound transportation network. The role would involve the following:

  1. Laying out the commercial carriers strategy for Egypt; which carriers to we work with, what locations and at what cost
  2. Standardize and improve ways to monitor the performance of the carriers; work with them to get more visibility into our systems through better tech integration
  3. Build vendor relationships and negotiate rates with the commercial carriers to optimize costs

The successful candidate will be creating new or improving existing processes that will increase delivery efficiency and decrease costs, developing innovative projects that drive improvements in our transportation processes, to include design, measurement, and performance.


Responsibilities will include: Maintain weekly metrics, carrier score cards, and day-to-day carrier performance; innovate on processes to streamline the outbound from the FCs, recommend and implement process changes to increase efficiency; clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams. The position will require working closely with external clients, internal stakeholders, IT and business groups.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy environment
  • 6-10 years of Logistics experience working with freight forwarders / carriers
  • MS Office; SQL preferred
  • Great analytical skills and strong business judgment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding customer insight

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
MBA in Supply Chain Preferred
