Job Description

Primary Purpose:

  • Responsible for managing and controlling PEG supply chain cycle for all operational divisions, including communicating with PEG foreign suppliers, arranging model of transport, following up daily logistics operations and ensure shipments safe delivery to PEG warehouses.
  • Coordinate and monitor Logistics daily operations.
  • Follow up PEG shipments, starting from order placement till safe arrival into company’s warehouse.
  • Utilizing all available Logistics tools to optimize efficient shipping and transport models.
  • Take necessary action on resolving discrepancies in shipping documents.
  • Recruit efficient logistics services’ providers and do periodical assessment to ensure sustainable improvement of supply chain activities.
  • Continually reviewing logistics expenditures to keep carrying costs down where possible.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure smooth handling and efficient flow of shipments and documents.
  • Keep adequate detailed records of orders placed by the operational divisions.
  • Process and follow up supplier & logistics services provider’s payments.
  • Process damage and short shipped items claims.
  • Responsible for monitoring PEG pipelines with relevant operating divisions.
  • Report shipment updates timely with the requesting division.
  • Responsible for starting the clearance process for clearing the products ordered & shipped, & responsible for tracking the shipment status from shipment arrival through delivery to company/customer warehouse.
  • Communicate with the clearance agent to clear the goods & ensures that goods are cleared in the most timely and efficient manner while targeting cost reduction, clearance expenses savings and contractual requirements.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements 

  •  Bachelor's degree in logistics or equivalent.

Competencies:

  • Very good command of both English & Arabic written & verbal skills
  • Excellent in using MS Office.
  • Good Communications Skills.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Working under pressure with effective multitasking skills.
