Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced System Admin hopefully with experience in Amazon AWS.
- Help in implementing and monitoring backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
- Review applications or systems logs and take necessary actions.
- Manage network servers and technology tools.
- Set up accounts, Installation and configuration, Version controlling, Release management, workstations, and mobiles configuration.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Work with database administrators to maintain the performance and availability of the databases.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 Years of experience administering Linux systems in mission-critical, 24/7 production environments.
- Experience administering web hosting components and infrastructure, including web servers, application servers, load balancers, mail, DNS servers, and network components.
- Ability to configure and manage clustered Linux systems.
- Experience with the automation of system build, maintenance, and operation processes using Shell, Python, Perl, or other scripting technology.
- Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments.
- Understanding of PHP, HTML, IPtables firewalls, SNMP, and familiarity with system/network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with the web server related technologies such as: Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, PHP-FPM, Exim and other MTAs, SpamAssassin - configuration and troubleshooting, Bind, NSD,DNS, PureFTPD, ProFTPD, Tomcat, Mailman, SSL.
- Working knowledge of firewall and VPN concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux related technologies such as: CentOS, RHEL, Shell commands and procedures.
