Job Description
- Lead on the implementation of the employability program activities underAswan Skills Development Project (ASDP) that involves the development, growth and operations of the Continuing Education Center (CEC) in Aswan and Kom Ombo, maintaining training relevance within the region’s evolving economic/employment environment; and overall sustainability;
- Manage the daily operations of the centre and manage the performance of operational staff and administrators;
- Create and implement strategic/collaborative partnerships with reputable national / international educational institutions related to funding and strategic and policy guidance and advocacy;
- Liaise with businesses, universities, local government, donors, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to establish mutually beneficial partnerships to launch high quality relevant courses and maximize the effectiveness of complementary or otherwise strategically linked initiatives and goals;
- Work closely with the Quality and Accreditation Manager to develop and consistently deliver high-quality programs, leading to improved employment or employability;
- Initiate and maintain recruiting relationships with employers for job and internships opportunities.
- Support marketing and communication efforts to promote continuing education programs to the community in Aswan and Kom Ombo
- Adhere to educational and donor compliance guidelines;
- Oversee financial and other administrative operations and controls; and continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency;
- Develop annual CEC component implementation plan and budgets.
- lead employment fairs and career days including; building the capacity of the local stakeholders
- Identify sectorial employment opportunities and professional development program to enhance the skills of the youth in Aswan
- Work closely with vendors and consultants related to the employability program component
- Work closely with the Entrepreneurship Manager to promote self-employment options for the youth in Aswan.
- Prepare management reports and documentation, both internal and for funders;
- Lead the mobilization of resources to strengthen, extend and expand the offerings and scope of the CEC and the broader Continuing Education Program (CEP);
- Grow student intake, meet employment benchmarks and percentages for CEC graduates.
Job Requirements
- A post-graduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent working experience in an educational environment.
- Experience in managing and administrating continuing education and adult learning is an asset.
- Experience in managing a training/operational facility.
- Experience in business development.
- Excellent understanding of quality management and quality control systems in a services context/environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent business development skills. Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to work, build trust, motivate others, and work under pressure
- Having leadership qualities with proven experience in planning and evaluating, programme development, project management, and curriculum development.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks, demands and deadlines with a positive and constructive attitude.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and information with both integrity and the well-developed sense of confidentiality.
