Job Description
- Support the plastic manufacturing processes to ensure production is as per plan;
- Optimize resources to ensure that minimal waste and a maximum output of machinery is achieved;
- Work towards developing and improving skills of all employees within the department;
- Be actively involved in identifying machine improvements and managing shop floor staff;
- Be capable of taking a “hands-on” approach to identify and provide solutions, ensuring the plant; personnel and machinery remain efficient;
- Provide technical assistance where necessary;
- Assist in the introduction of LEAN initiatives and improve OEE;
- Pro-actively assist in effective planning to meet the requirements of Sales and Marketing;
- Promote and maintain open communication, including interaction with other departments; providing support to enable the timely achievement of objectives;
- Support and strengthen the production quality initiatives;
- Assist in the development of new and improved packaging solutions;
- Assist in evaluating staff progression and training needs;
- Ensure that adherence to company regulations, hygiene standards and Health and Safety policies.
Job Requirements
- Plastics experience is a must
