Job Description
We are looking for an energetic candidate to fill a mid-level ROR developer role in our team. In this position, the candidate will have the ability to articulate engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability and development platforms. Candidate will also participate in architecture planning of SOA- Microservices/APIs that integrates with internal and external services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
- Communicates and enforces best practice coding standards to maintain high code quality.
- Improve the performance and code quality.
- Build and maintain API services.
- Contribute to product strategy sessions
- Continuously research to learn and adapt to the latest technologies and best practices while promoting it across the company
- Communicate technical aspects with different stakeholders like Product Owners, Operations, Sales and Marketing
Job Requirements
- BS degree in computer science/engineering or a related field.
- 1+ years solid experience and proficiency with Ruby on Rails.
- Excellent understanding of the MVC and OOP principles.
- Database experience with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience with Cloud platforms AWS or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge in Node.js is a plus.
- Front-end knowledge: HTML5, HAML, CSS3, SAAS, Angular and React are preferable.
