Job Description
- To develop and implement central administrative database environments
- Providing appropriate maintenance, security and technical support of the database to ensure appropriate availability for users at University of Canada in Egypt.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related subject.
- Up-to-date DBA certifications required.
Minimum Experience:
- 5-7 years Database Administration experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language, Windows/Linux operating systems, Microsoft SQL databases, Oracle relational databases, systems operations, data warehousing and business intelligence tools in a web-based environment.
- Knowledge of database management and diagnostic tools such as TOAD.
- Strong knowledge of application systems and familiarity with client –server and 3-tiered application system concepts
- Ability to support Ellucian PowerCampus and Oracle E-Business Suite project teams.
- Knowledge of Higher Education administrative business processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work after hours and/or weekends and on-call, as specified by supervisor.
- Logical and systematic problem-solving ability.
