Job Description
SCCT is strategically located at the mouth of the Suez Canal – offering zero deviation from one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world – and creating unique access to key markets in the East Mediterranean and Egypt.With the completion of a dredging project which deepened the terminal’s draft of 16.5 meters, SCCT is capable of handling the largest containerships in the global container. SCCT opened in 2004 as a Joint Venture with APM Terminals the majority shareholder and operator.

Key responsibilities
- Control over CAPEX process including review adequate approvals based on authority matrix.
- To be able to communicate, collect and analyse data for various reports.
- Follow up on assets insurance coverage and the expiry of insurance period in addition to ensuring renewal before the expiry date and verify insurance premiums charged .
- Review and analyse (Compare to target & ROFO) company’s key performance indicators.
- Review and analyse Monthly Financial Statements (Compare to target & ROFO).
- Review monthly interest calculation and bank charges related to SCCT debt.
- Review SCCT initiatives on monthly basis and explain the differences to annual operating plans.
- Control Capex expenses and follow up on capex spend with departments .
- Support management decision by reviewing business cases for future investment plans .
- Continuous development of own knowledge to ensure full awareness of the R&C section as well as a solid background in finance and terminal business in general.
Job Requirements
- College degree is required .
- Requires Two years of general accounting experience.
- Requires a sound understanding of accounting principles and transactions.
- Must be able to use a desktop computer with experience in using MS Office.
- Must have basic organizational and planning skills.
- Must be able to handle matters of company business with confidentiality and integrity.
- Analyse top management needs and develops possible reporting criteria to address those needs.
- Use his / her mental abilities to use the IFS (or any other computer application) to perform the required tasks automatically.
- Perfectly communicate with other finance departments members to facilitate providing the needed data.
- Focuses on best practices and continuous improvement, generates output of high accuracy and pay attention to details.
