Job Description

  • Provides technical Environmental Safety supervision to ensure the incorporation of safety management recommendations and compliance with safety and health standards for facilities, equipment or further expansion.
  • Also responsible for reviewing and approving all projects involving Environmental and safety in new construction or modifications.
  • Supervises the work of EHS personnel, evaluates performance of subordinate employees; gives advice on both work and administrative matters with authority to amend or reject work.
  • Ensure that fire emergency considerations are addressed during development of production processes, equipment and facilities .
  • Responsible for development and implementation of Environmental Health and safety management systems to strategically and directionally move factories operations beyond regulatory compliance.
  • Designs, develops and produces Environmental Safety and industrial hygiene programs to satisfy factories operational needs. Monitors the status of these programs. Assist factories operations in identifying safety related problems and issues, and secures internal or external resources, as needed, to resolve them.
  • Supervises the submittal of all Environmental and Safety reports in a complete and timely fashion as required by regulatory authorities or corporate policy.
  • Regulate the safety related to any product distribution and packing logistics.
  • Prepares for external or corporate audit for the Environmental Safety and health and coordinates in the follow-up action plans. Coordinates the timely remediation of findings. Performs periodic self-assessment as required by external authorities .
  • Hosts government inspections, coordinates inspection reports and ensures the timely correction of any outstanding items as a result of inspections.
  • In conjunction with facility engineering, ensures that systems are in place to identify the impacts upon Environmental, Health and Safety, product transfers, or other changes in manufacturing that may impact these areas.
  • Coordinates Industrial Hygiene surveys, colleague protection, practices and equipment.
  • Investigates serious injuries, illnesses, business interruptions and property losses directly or through location personnel as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintains emergency system and Evacuation Contingency Plans and Loss Prevention Programs as required and ensure implementation.
  • Trains colleagues on Health and Safety program and ensure skill performance levels are maintained.
  • Review insurance policies and ensure all insurance measures are included and all area are covered.
  • Handling the logistics related to the renewal of the industrial registration, plant certificate, boiler certificate and others.
  • Follow-up on legal issues related to the EH&S and work on fulfilling the gaps.
  • Handling the issuance of all certification related to EH&S area.
  • Manage the security system and personnel for the plant and establish the JD for them as well as the policy to follow. Follow-up on their day to day operations and evaluate their work.
  • Sign on security registrar on daily basis and ensure investigations on odd cases.
  • Maintain power ( Elect. Gas . water )records
  • Implement and follow-up power conservation program
  • Submitting Quarterly / Annual incident report
  • Manager the proper way to handle solid waste and keep records
  • Insure that all EH&S system are in place and compliance with SOPs job requirements
  • Implement & update quality, safety and health system
  • Manage safety works with Safety team.
  • Performing all the Health, Safety, Environment responsibilities (HSE) for company according to the HSE management system and Codes as per ISO certificate.
  • Revise HSE Plans, Training Schedule.
  • Study and be aware of project contract, specs, drawings & BOQ
  • Insure that all works are inspected based on the final approved drawings and RFIs.
  • Create bi-Weekly Quality Reports.
  • Issue & follow up approval of method statements.
  • Inspect all materials delivered versus approved Material Submittal & insure completeness.
  • Issuing IR, MIR and distribution to concerned team members
  • Presence in all meetings and sharing info with concerned parties
  • Control & supervise QC Engineers
  • Responsible for ISO certificate's Documentation job requirements

Job Requirements

  • In Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent in English
  • Experience in manufacturing industry
  • From 15 to 18 years of Experience
  • At least 3 Years' Experience in the same position
  • Diploma in Total Quality Management
  • HSE Inspection & Auditing
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Certified Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry
  • Certified IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
  • Certified OHSAS 18001:2007 Lead Auditor Certified Auditors (IRCA)
  • Certified ISO 14001:2004 Awareness and Internal Auditor
  • Certified introduction to ISO 14001 Environmental Management
  • Certified introduction to OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety management
