Job Description

Primary Tasks:

  • Work on the setting and the implementation of an effective strategic planning for business issues.
  • Preparing the company budget in an annual basis and regular monitoring or deviation.
  • Conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports .
  • Ensure compliance with financial legislation, policies and procedures and adhere to government tax policies and other guidelines.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to departments under his/her responsibilities.
  • Ensure the implementation of an effective automated system of areas under his/her responsibilities.
  • Manage accounting and financial systems and ensure maintaining full and accurate accounting records
  • Ensure proper allocations of spending per department.
  • Monitor department spending, provide monthly expenditure report per department and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Attend business meetings and make presentations as needed.
  • Monitor the purchasing system
  • Respond to auditors’ comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies
  • Implement and monitor payment authority practices
  • Establish and maintain cash controls
  • Manage investments and reserves
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts

People Management:

  • Ensure the recruitment and selection of highly skilled staff and attend assessment centers / panel interview when needed.
  • Effective performance management of supervisor staff by regularly reviewing performance management plans (quarterly review)
  • Regular review of performance and progress of implementation of plans against agreed metrics
  • Develop systems that will enhance team motivation and commitment and recognizing successes
  • Utilization of all reward & recognition tools to leverage performance
  • Implement performance improvement plan when needed.
  • Ensure to have a development plan for supervisor staff and work on filling the gap through refreshment sessions and recommendations of training programs.
  • Guide and coach team to improve their efficiency. Plan for their training and development to acquire new skills.
  • Develop effective succession plan within his/her team and work on developing potential talents to grow them for future roles.
  • Give special assignments and delegations to members of his/her line as appropriate with the purpose of their development to prepare them to be future leaders.
  • Encourage knowledge transfer among staff members.
  • Ensure and maintain good communication behavior and healthy environment among colleagues.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's in finance/Accounting.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Holder of CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus.
  • Strong financial background with ability to deal with numbers and attention for details.
  • Very good English language and computer skill.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communications skills.
